10 WWE Wrestlers Who Weren't Given Enough Chances

7. Harry Smith

On paper, Harry Smith has so much of what Vince McMahon looks for in a wrestler.

6'6" tall, 265 lbs of muscle, third generation, and a technical, legit badass between the ropes, Smith should be a huge star in a major wrestling company.

Right now, Harry is competing under the Davey Boy Smith Jr. name for Court Bauer's Major League Wrestling. And while MLW is a great promotion that puts on a good product, it's criminal that the son of the the legendary British Bulldog and Diana Hart isn't cracking skulls and tying opponents in knots in WWE or AEW.

Harry was contracted to WWE between 2006 and 2011, yet the company never really gave him a shot at breaking out as a singles act. Of course, a Wellness violation early into his main roster run didn't help matters in that sense, but it's not like such suspensions have stopped other stars from going on to the main event picture and countless world championships.

For the majority of Smith's main roster run, he was a part of The Hart Dynasty alongside Tyson Kidd and Natalya. That group was a brilliant trio, and Smith and Kidd were a phenomenal tag tandem. Still, it's hard to believe that WWE never gave Harry a chance to really break out as a singles star.

Given how Smith has made recent appearances on WWE's The Bump and Corey Graves' After the Bell podcast, maybe there's a chance that the 34-year-old could find himself back in WWE at some point in the future.

Once described as the Swiss Army Knife of WhatCulture, Andrew can usually be found writing, editing, or presenting on a wide range of topics. As a lifelong wrestling fan, horror obsessive, and comic book nerd, he's been covering those topics professionally as far back as 2010. In addition to his current WhatCulture role of Senior Content Producer, Andrew previously spent nearly a decade as Online Editor and Lead Writer for the world's longest-running genre publication, Starburst Magazine, and his work has also been featured on BBC, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, WhatToWatch, Sportkskeeda, and various other outlets, in addition to being a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic. Between his main dayjob, his role as the lead panel host of Wales Comic Con, and his gig as a pre-match host for Wrexham AFC games, Andrew has also carried out a hugely varied amount of interviews, from the likes of Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, Adrienne Barbeau, Rob Zombie, Katharine Isabelle, Leigh Whannell, Bruce Campbell, and Tony Todd, to Kevin Smith, Ron Perlman, Elijah Wood, Giancarlo Esposito, Simon Pegg, Charlie Cox, the Russo Brothers, and Brian Blessed, to Kevin Conroy, Paul Dini, Tara Strong, Will Friedle, Burt Ward, Andrea Romano, Frank Miller, and Rob Liefeld, to Bret Hart, Sting, Mick Foley, Ricky Starks, Jamie Hayer, Britt Baker, Eric Bischoff, and William Regal, to Mickey Thomas, Joey Jones, Phil Parkinson, Brian Flynn, Denis Smith, Gary Bennett, Karl Connolly, and Bryan Robson - and that's just the tip of an ever-expanding iceberg.
