10 WWE Wrestlers Who Won Championships With Multiple Gimmicks

6. Dolph Ziggler - Nicky

In a decade's time it will be interesting to see just how Dolph Ziggler is remembered. Will he be remembered for his consistency in the ring and iconic Money in the Bank cash-in, or will he be remembered as an underachiever who never quite gained the trust of the company enough to become a big star?

What isn't up for debate is the fact that Ziggler has been successful in WWE when it comes to winning championships and when Ziggles hangs up his boots he'll be able to look at two World Heavyweight Championships, five Intercontinental Championships, one United States Championship and a single World Tag Team Championship reign sitting sweetly on his mantlepiece.

All of those championships were won by Dolph Ziggler with the exception of the tag titles, which came to Ziggles back in his cheerleading days as part of The Spirit Squad. Nicky (as he was then known) was not a part of the winning duo but The Spirit Squad were allowed to defend the titles using the Freebird Rule, meaning Ziggler can look back at a career that saw him win world, secondary and tag team championships.

It is also a career with male cheerleading and golf caddying. You win some you lose some.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
