10 WWE Wrestlers Who Would Be Right At Home In NJPW

10. Luke Harper

Luke Harper is in a strange position as we approach the belly of 2017. The former Wyatt Family member seemed primed for a big push when the Family fell apart, but the former Intercontinental Champion has faded back into the background since. For a while there was talk of him being in a world championship match at WrestleMania - now he is just another face on SmackDown Live.

Pretty much every single Luke Harper focus piece ever written has referenced Bruiser Brody in some way, and with good reason. Long time wrestling fans will immediately think of Frank Goodish when they see Harper - the similarities are difficult to deny. Harper is a far more refined version of course, but there is no reason why the protégé could not be as successful as the original.

Bruiser Brody was immensely over in Japan because he quite clearly didn't give a hoot. The wild-haired and wild-eyed brawler terrified the Japanese crowds. Harper comes to the table with a similar look but in-ring ability that is light years ahead of where Brody was.

If Luke Harper doesn't move past the midcard in WWE, Brodie Lee may well decide that New Japan is the place for him to be.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
