10 WWE Wrestlers With HUGE Mainstream Breakout Potential

5. Sami Zayn

This author will continue to scream this into the abyss; in some parallel pro wrestling universe, Sami Zayn is the biggest babyface on the planet. Is he the most natural good guy in all of WWE? Heck, he might be the most natural good guy in all of professional wrestling. Zayn exudes personable charm and has all the energy and vigour needed to rally a crowd behind him.

It stands to reason then that WWE sees fit to book him as a heel. If ever there was a true indictment of WWE's creative malaise, that Sami Zayn is one of the company's best heels may well be it.

Zayn likes to keep his private life private, but he is extremely vocal about social injustice and international issues that hit close to home. A Canadian by birth and Syrian by blood, Zayn famously set up the Sami for Syria fund in 2017, an avenue for people to help the Syrian American Medical Society. Make no mistake about it - Sami Zayn is a seriously good guy.

WWE isn't known for its ability to strikes heads with nails, but its inability to put away the open goal that is 'Sami Zayn, Monster Babyface' remains a stain on its creative abilities.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
