9. Candice LeRae

Candice LeRae won't be the only female talent on this list. But she might be the most egregious entry.

Women's wrestling in WWE is at long last on the mend, but a long way from being anywhere near its 2018 peak, and many of the recent fixes have been too quick to determine if they'll stick. Representation and parity are important, but nobody's been fooled by those Monday Night Raw segments featuring six women paired up and standing awkwardly hoping to get a shot at Chelsea Green and Piper Niven's Tag Team Titles. Especially one of them has the pedigree of Candice LeRae.

A beloved figure on the independents and somebody who approached that level in NXT in spite of a misjudged heel turn, LeRae didn't have the type of credit in the bank with main roster crowds to generate big pops from the off, and was almost immediately middled on the show as a result.

Lined up as an easy win for lots of the more familiar faces on the roster, it's been total stasis for former NXT Tag Team Champion ever since. And you literally don't need to look much further to find another colleague in an almost-identical situation either...
