10 WWE Wrestlers You'd Never Guess Were Suspended

1. Ricardo Rodriguez

The only thing more bizarre than a referee getting suspended is an on-air talent that is in the ring even less, in this case Ricardo Rodriguez. Granted, he always had the duty of announcing Alberto Del Rio to the ring, but other than that, he rarely got physical, so there was little need for him to be doing anything he shouldn't have been.

Of everyone featured on this list, Rodriguez had the worst punishment of them all coming off his June 2013 suspension. Not only was he written off TV immediately following Del Rio's big world title win, he returned for one night only in August before being betrayed by his former friend.

Rodriguez was again kept off programming until resurfacing in time for Night of Champions when he aligned with Rob Van Dam. The partnership was short-lived and he was gone from the company by mid-2014.

Perhaps he and RVD had more in common than we all thought they did.
