From Sin Cara to Heath Slater to Darren Young, 2011 was a weird year for suspensions in WWE. But the strangeness didn't stop there, though, as Mike Chioda was suspended for 30 days as well for violating the Wellness Policy.

Yes, you read that correctly: WWE's head referee and a well-respected official was absent from programming for a month for failing a drug test. It came as a genuine shock to fans to say the least, especially one night removed from the SummerSlam pay-per-view.

Sadly, it was never revealed what he tested positive for, but it would surely be interesting to find out.

Nevertheless, it sent a message to the rest of the locker room that not even referees are exempt from the consequences that come with violating the Wellness Policy.
