10 WWE Wrestlers You'd Never Guess Were Suspended

9. Evan Bourne

Bourne spent years trying to escape midcard purgatory in WWE, but always found himself spiralling back down the card every time it looked like he was on the verge of getting pushed. By August 2011, he finally achieved his first major milestone when he captured the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Kofi Kingston.

Collectively known as Air Boom, the duo injected new life into the stagnant tag team division and brought the belts to new heights. Before they could even scratch the surface of what they were capable of as a team, Bourne was suspended at the start of November for 30 days for his first violation for the WWE Wellness Policy.

Despite Kingston having to fly solo for a month, they weren't stripped of the straps and their reign resumed upon his return in December. Air Boom continued to dominate the tag team ranks before Bourne was suspended for a second time in late January, becoming the first man in WWE history to violate the policy twice in the matter of months.

Air Boom was forced to drop the twin titles because of his screw-up, and unfortunately for Bourne, a severe foot injury kept him out of action for several years up until his release from the company in June 2014.
