3. Gable Steveson

The term the sky’s the limit gets thrown out as regularly as a THIS IS AWESOME WWE Universe chant, but in the case of Gable Steveson, it could not be truer.

The 21-year-old native of Portage, Indiana has the world at his feet, after winning a gold medal in amateur wrestling at this years Tokyo Olympics. Luckily for WWE, he chose to join the world’s biggest pro wrestling conglomerate.

Drafting Steveson to Raw in October was a massive shock so early in his WWE tenure which technically hasn’t even begun yet. He’s yet to have a match or appear on WWE television except for a brief showing at August's Summerslam, so naturally how he will emerge is a mystery at the moment.

There are obvious parallels between Steveson and Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, especially with the gold medalist also reigning as the NCAA Division I National Wrestling Champion. Consequently, he will no doubt be Vince McMahon’s pet project, and the company will persist with him for as long as it takes.

You just know he will be earmarked as the next great company babyface, a hero the people can latch onto in battle with WWE's worst bastards. Fewer signings in recent memory have created as much excitement within the locker room and throughout the WWE Universe alike, compared to the reaction to Gable.

Whenever Steveson does hit the ring, it will be a scary proposition for how far he can go in professional wrestling.
