Another member of Raw's fledgling Cruiserweight Division, Rich Swann is often touted as the man to drag that division into the future. His run seems to have had its legs cut out however, as many assume that Kalisto will defeat The Brian Kendrick this Sunday at Survivor Series and become the Cruiserweight Champion, leaving Swann with two clean victories over a now-former champion, but no belt.

Swann was born on 15 February, 1991, less than a month after Sgt. Slaughter defeated The Ultimate Warrior at the Royal Rumble for the WWF Championship. Swann's upbringing was less than ideal, both his parents dying young and him dealing with drug issues in his teenage years. Swann came through that however, and the (wrestling) world is now his oyster.

One interesting side note is that Swann trained in CZW in 2009 under the tutelage of grizzled veteran Drew Gulak, the grizzled veteran who himself is only 29 years old at the time of writing. That means Gulak was training wrestlers when he was just 22.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
