100 Greatest WWE Royal Rumble Moments Ever

97. Shannon Moore = Top Tier MF’er (2003)

WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Edge

Playing cheerleader and protege to Matt Hardy was a solid role for Shannon Moore in 2003. The one-time WCW midcarder looked like he was having the time of his life during the 2003 Rumble too. There, Shannon saved Matt's skin and proved himself to be a fabulous MF'er (Mattitude Follower, not... well, y'know). Together, the pair helped pad the middle of the match out.

Moore wasn't actually an official entrant, but that wouldn't stop him from catching Hardy as Matt was thrown from the ring by his brother Jeff, or even putting his own body on the line to take Jeff's Swanton Bomb. That's loyalty for you. Shannon then ran into the likes of Rikishi and Kane before Matt was eliminated by eventual winner Brock Lesnar.

Mission accomplished, lads - you entertained and plugged a hole in the Rumble.

Shannon's run alongside Matt lasted until Hardy was drafted over to Raw later in the year. Being honest, WWE could've done more with the duo, and possibly even booked them as a tag team once fellow MF'er Crash Holly was released from his contract. It wasn't to be.
