Comedy has always underpinned Royal Rumbles, and this proves it. Not everybody is gonna go out there and be the 'Iron Man' or chuck endless strings of saps over the top rope like they're Braun Strowman, Diesel or Roman Reigns. Some workers have a specific role to play. In 1991, Bushwhacker Luke's gig was to add levity to the match as #27.

Let's just say he did a pretty good job of it.

Luke marched all the way down the aisle, entered the ring, got thrown over the top by Earthquake, landed on his feet at ringside, then... continued marching to the back like nothing had happened. It got laughs, and endeared him to an entire legion of fans who were hoping to see someone like Hulk Hogan win the thing.

Better yet, one half of The Bushwhackers broke some thick tension in the match at the right moment. His silliness gave everyone a chuckle, then people returned to biting their fingernails over who'd emerge victorious. What a guy.
