29. Bret Hart’s Stunning Leg Sell (1994)

There will be more Rumble 1994 fun to come closer to the top. Guaranteed.

For now, let's all take a moment to bask in the brilliance of Bret Hart's selling abilities. He was just a short while removed from brother Owen kicking his leg out of his leg (how did Todd Pettengill keep a straight face during that promo?!) during a tag bout vs. The Quebecers on the undercard. Come Rumble time, Hart knew he'd have to put over how much pain he was in.

Bret did that in typically strong fashion. He limped and hobbled his way to the ring with a grimace on his face as the announcers wondered just how Hart would be able to function in such a dangerous Rumble. 15 minutes of predictably stellar ring work later, and Bret was involved in the cliffhanger finish. Again, more on that later.

This entry is a celebration of everything good about Hart's unrivalled attention to detail. He struggled to put weight on the leg, and it became an obvious target for heels looking to exploit the situation in the Rumble.
