The fancy dress theme at 'Mania IX called for everyone to wear togas and play up to the Caesars Palace location. As aforementioned, that must've been a real head-scratcher for Jim Ross, but the incoming ex-WCW play by play man did as he was asked and wore some unique threads. He then looked on in awe as Bobby Heenan welcomed him to the WWF in typically outlandish fashion.

'Brain' called an audible right before going through the curtain on a camel and decided to mount it facing the wrong way. Naturally, Bobby blamed the animal for making him look like an idiot as he flopped around on top and struggled to maintain his balance. This popped ringsiders and set the tone for some of the silliness to come on the card.

Few understood how charming and whimsical pro wrestling is supposed to be at times better than Heenan.

It says everything for his work that even mounting a camel and struggling through the curtain for his commentary gig earns a spot on any exhaustive list looking at the best 'Mania moments of all time. How Randy Savage and JR managed to keep a straight face as Heenan threatened a pratfall or six is anyone's guess. People had to be roaring with laughter backstage at the Gorilla Position too.

At one point, Bobby even yelled out in desperation: "How do I stop this camel?!". Meanwhile, that humpy git just sauntered to ringside following the handler, oblivious to the fact it'd be remembered forever thanks to Heenan's sense of humour and comedy timing.
