At some point in the second-half of 2015, Rusev became the laughing stock of The League of Nations. He was beaten more than he was victorious and had lost every ounce of momentum he built during an impressive undefeated streak to start his main roster career.

Post-WrestleMania has been a time of great resurgence for Rusev.

The Bulgarian Brute has rediscovered his dangerous edge, that side of himself that let him demolish opposition like an out-of-control wrecking ball. After defeating Kalisto for the United States Championship, he has dispatched of Titus O'Neil in a series of bouts and looked like a monster while doing so.

Best of all, Rusev has been allowed the opportunity to showcase his personality. His time on the mic has expanded significantly. Even in shorter spurts, he has shown an ability to draw heat for himself rather than relying on Lana to do it for him.

As WWE prepares for its upcoming brand extension, it should be interesting to see which brand Rusev lands on. Will he remain a fixture in the midcard or will the super athlete ascend the rankings into the upper echelon of competitors on either Raw or SmackDown?
