11 Best Ever WWE Dives Outside The Ring

11. Randy Savage Flying Double Axehandle Smash

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q28151ddwJ4 "Macho Man" Randy Savage was one of the most innovative wrestlers that there was. He was willing to put his body on the line to tell a great story within a match. Savage was also one of the first big name wrestlers to add a flying move outside the ring to his arsenal when he introduced the flying Double Axehandle Smash to his arsenal. It's not that complex a move and maybe today it wouldn't even generate a reaction, but 25 years ago it was considered awesome. What was great about the spot also is that Savage would sometimes miss it and then go crashing throat first into the barricade at ringside. It was one of those big spots that only he would do because there weren't a lot of guys going to the top rope in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It became a signature spot for him. When he hit it, the move gave him the advantage and when he missed he did a great job of selling the pain.
