7. Passing The Torch

WrestleMania 6 featured an epic encounter between Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior in which both the WWE and Intercontinental Championships were up for grabs. For the first time, the two biggest babyfaces in the industry waged war for the right to call themselves champion in a match dubbed The Ultimate Challenge. In an intense and dramatic battle, each man withstood the finishing maneuver of the other, leaving fans guessing which final blow would put one of the combatants away. Warrior claimed the titles and the victory with a splash off of a missed legdrop, leading to our No. 7 greatest ending in WrestleMania history.

Hogan, heartbroken over his defeat, grabbed the WWE belt from ringside and confronted Warrior. Then, in a great moment of sportsmanship, he handed the gold to his opponent and embraced him as fans inside Toronto's historic SkyDome erupted. It was a moment in which Hogan, no matter how reluctant, passed the torch to the younger and more dynamic babyface. As he exited the arena, he watched as pyro exploded and Warrior celebrated his greatest victory to date.
