11 Best WWE Royal Rumble Returns Ever

3. Rob Van Dam

Van Dam became one of WWE's most popular superstars after making the switch from ECW during the Invasion angle in 2001. He would spend the next six years working for Vince McMahon before leaving for pastures new. He would spend the next three years on the independent scene before moving to TNA. During this hiatus from the big time, The Whole F'n Show made an unannounced return at the 2009 Rumble. Van Dam was the 25th entrant in the 30 man event and lasted over 13 minutes before being eliminated by Chris Jericho. Like most on this list, he received the biggest 'pop' of the night when his music hit. However, when he entered the ring via a flying super kick, he delivered what has to be the least convincing set of clotheslines in the history of professional wrestling.
