Survivor Series used to be one of WWE's big four pay-per-views. The first show took place in 1987, and has become one of the company’s most well known events. Over the years, it’s taken a backseat to other shows, but it finally seems to have an identity once again. Survivor Series is like the modern day Bragging Rights, in that it’s supposed to be the one night a year where talent from Raw and SmackDown go head-to-head to establish brand supremacy.

A lot of big things in the company have changed since last year’s show. We've seen women main event a pay-per-view, a ton of new faces pop up and John Cena taking a backseat for the first time in over a decade. Here we take a look at wrestlers that competed on Survivor Series 2015, and how their roles have changed for this year's event. We'll also make note of wrestlers who have signed on since then, and how they're currently fairing. A few men and women have enjoyed great years since last year’s version of the show, while others have suffered and a few are no longer even with the company.

There is one shocking name we thought we’d never see again, and another who we thought would never join the company at all. It really has been a crazy year, as WWE is adapting to new philosophy on who to push, which means that the roles of so many roster members have drastically changed that it’s hard to keep up with it all.

Here are the 11 biggest changes in WWE since Survivor Series 2015.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
