11 Biggest Conclusions Drawn From WWE Night Of Champions 2015
2. Seth Rollins Proved His Worth
Throughout Seth Rollins reign, he’s been poorly booked, and not allowed to display his true worth as a champion. He’s been aided with interference, Dusty finishes, and no-contests to get him from WrestleMania to this point.
However, at Night of Champions he proved why he is WWE’s ace in the ring, and the modern day Shawn Michaels. He wrestled two different top caliber title matches consecutively, controlled the crowd wonderfully, and bumped like a man possessed for both John Cena and Sting.
His work with Sting was particularly impressive, as he took turns not only leading him, but also protecting Sting when he was legitimately hurt.
It also must be mentioned that there was some foreshadowing for his eventual face turn. When Sheamus ran out to attempt his cash-in, Rollins looked like the most sympathetic figure in WWE, who was about to be robbed by a guy not nearly as over as him, for the title he worked so hard to defend.
If Rollins is headed into a feud with Kane, it will only be watchable for his performances.
