11 Biggest Missteps On The Road To WrestleMania 38

5. They’re Fighting Over A Talk Show

Longtime fans might remember an infamous WrestleMania match between Edge and Booker T that saw them fighting over the right to be the spokesman for a Japanese shampoo.

Well, we got the pseudo-equivalent last month when former tag partners Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins wrestled for the right to host a WrestleMania talk show with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as the guest.

What made this particularly deplorable was that Owens seeded the entire feud, called out Austin, and then succeeded when Stone Cold responded because he was p*ssed off at KO. So then Rollins tried to copy the idea, leading the idiot authority figures to book a match between the two for the talk show. Never mind that Austin was coming because of Owens, not to just gab, we had a nonsensical Raw main event to book.

The entire deal was mind-numbingly stupid and made no sense… and then they repeated it the following week with Rollins and AJ Styles! Worse, WWE then undercut the entire angle Monday when Vince McMahon mocked the Drip God for jumping through those stupid hoops instead of just asking him for a Mania match.

Idiotic.
