11 Biggest Stories From IMPACT's Bound For Glory And What They Mean Going Forward

4. Sami Callihan's OVE Topples The Lucha Bros And Brian Cage

With Sami Callihan leading the charge, Ohio Versus Everything has been a thorn in the side of countless Impact stars. The group has perpetrated controversial attacks against Eddie Edwards and LAX, but has since shifted focus to Pentagon Jr. Subsequently, Callihan and the Crist Brothers challenged Pentagon, Fenix, and X Division Champion Brian Cage to an oVe Rules match at Bound For Glory.

The no-disqualification bout saw wild action for all of its nearly fifteen minutes. Fenix made use of his unparalleled high-flying ability with springing headbutts, suicide dives, and even a cutter from the entrance ramp to the ring. Cage’s raw power was displayed when he caught his opponents from the air multiple times and even tossed Jake onto everyone at ringside. However, the X Division Champion finally succumbed to a barrage of Superkicks from oVe followed by Callihan's piledriver in his first defeat since joining Impact.

While Sami and Pentagon have battled through much of this year, Callihan’s focus has now landed on Cage as he stated his desire to go after the X Division title. Perhaps, Sami can repeat Sunday's performance, or maybe Cage's loss was just a bump in the road during an utterly dominant 2018.
