11 Burning Questions For WWE Extreme Rules 2016
3. Will The Club Topple The Usos?
One of the biggest criticisms levied about the debut of the Bullet Club has been how they’ve lost a significant amount of their luster as a group by losing to the Usos and falling at the hands of Roman Reigns in a couple two-on-one situations. They went from being potential top guys to just guys.
Despite that, “The Club” has been positioned as a high-level faction and could still make a big impact in WWE, but they have to show they’re capable of that dominance. And winning Sunday against the Usos is a big part of that. If Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson fall to Jimmy and Jey, then they’ve become just another tag team, not a force in WWE. But if they win convincingly, then it could help establish them.
WWE seems to love doing these half-steps when it comes to new talent. One of the rare times the company went all-in on debuting talent was the Shield, and we saw how well that turned out. Makes you wonder why they get cold feet so often.
