11 Fantasy WWE Tag Matches We'd Love To Have Seen

6. The World's Greatest Tag Team Vs The British Bulldogs

Participants: Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid Vs Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. The British Bulldogs had a little bit of everything. Both Davey Boy and the Dynamite Kid were technically gifted, but Davey Boy had the power and the mat-wrestling ability, while Dynamite Kid was more innovative and high-flying. Neither guy was particularly big in wrestling terms - with Davey Boy the tallest at 5' 11" - but they consistently tangled with some of the biggest and best tag teams around. They had feuds with the Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine), the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff and the Hart Foundation. They had notable wins over monster heel teams like Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy and wrestled all over the world together. The World's Greatest tag team - Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin - were originally introduced as a pairing under the tutelage of Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle and were simply known as "Team Angle". As Team Angle, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship from Los Guererros (Eddie and Chavo Guerrero), before losing it to Eddie and Tajiri, and then winning it back under their new name after Kurt Angle had sacked them. Both Haas and Benjamin had esteemed amateur wrestling careers and, as such, were talented in-ring technicians. What a match this would be. They'd put on a truly magnificent display of wrestling and it would be a shame to see either lose. Winners: The British Bulldogs. Haas and Benjamin may have one more tag title in the WWE than the British duo, with two reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions lasting a total of around five months in total, but the Bulldogs' one reign with the World Tag Team Championship lasted around nine months and, simply put, they were just better.
