Another unique one, this is the only example on the list of the father winning the title after the son. Chavo Guerrero Sr. started working for the WWE in 2004, helping out his son Chavo in his feud against the late great Eddie Guerrero. When that beef was done Chavo Sr. stayed around, competing under the excellent ring name Chavo Classic.

Somehow all of this led to Chavo Classic winning the Cruiserweight Championship, a clear sign of the depths the strap had plummeted to in the mid-2000s. Mr. Classic actually won the belt from his son too, defeating Chavo Jr. and Spike Dudley in a triple threat match on an episode of SmackDown to become the oldest Cruiserweight Champion in history in the process.

Chavo Jr. himself experienced a hefty amount of cruiser success, winning the strap on six occasions.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
