11 Huge AEW All Out 2021 Predictions You Need To Know
3. Chris Jericho vs. MJF
While the stipulation would usually tell you that Chris Jericho is winning here, it must swing the other way. Not because Jericho desperately needs to retire, but because his defeat is what the story demands.
MJF and The Pinnacle have already suffered from losing the second Stadium Stampede to The Inner Circle. The 25-year-old's 3-0 record against Jericho looks nice at the moment but will ultimately mean nothing if he falls at this, the final hurdle. Perhaps a sketchy Jericho victory would give MJF an out (and something to complain about on television), but no. People typically remember the end result, not the journey, and the only argument against MJF winning is "it isn't time for Jericho to retire yet."
But if that's the only question, this stipulation shouldn't have been attached.
In this case, the 'Final Fight' label feels like more than an easy attempt at generating drama. It feels real. Whether the end result is a full-time transition into the commentary booth remains to be seen for Jericho, but going down this route then not doing the right thing, storyline-wise, would be disappointing.
Winner: MJF
