Team Hell No's reunion disapproved a theory that nothing from the past decade or so has carried any nostalgic value - crowds have been almost as molten for their comeback as they were Bryan's solo return earlier this year. It's maybe because audiences want to cycle through Bryan's greatest hits as quickly as company management do just in case he elects not to re-sign when his contract expires in August.

WWE have smartly left a major SummerSlam match with The Miz on the table and it's most likely to factor into what should be the most heated match of the night. Bryan - as reminded by an unnamed agent apparently trying to needle him into campaigning for better storylines "is still Daniel Bryan", and receives reactions that reflect this.

Kane's real-life political aspirations would presumably rule him out of a lengthy title stint anyway, so it stands to reason that the Bludgeon Brothers retain even if the 'Yes!' man himself doesn't take the fall. An 'A-Lister's interference will be all any of them need to ensure no credibility is lost and another chapter of Bryan's remarkable original career has been well (re)told.
