11 Legit Toughest WWE Wrestlers Of The Attitude Era

2. Dan Severn

A veteran of the early UFC shows, Dan Severn was a real hard man. He was an accomplished amateur wrestler, and topped those skills up with training in the other mixed martial arts. He supplemented his MMA infamy with a run in pro wrestling, and came to the WWF in 1998 as NWA Champion. This involved a storyline against his old UFC foe, Ken Shamrock. It also involved Severn taking part in Brawl For All, where he unsurprisingly defeated The Godfather in the first round. However, he then withdrew from the tournament, perhaps concerned at the folly of it all. Throughout his WWF tenure, everyone knew how tough he was. A UFC Champion, he had twenty-five MMA fights to his name when joining the WWF in 1998. He continued to fight while working in the WWF, and finished his career up with an MMA record of 101 wins, 19 losses, and 7 draws.
