11 Legit Toughest WWE Wrestlers Of The Attitude Era

1. Ken Shamrock

Although not a purist athlete like Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock was versed in so many mixed martial arts disciplines that he'd have legit defeated anyone put in his way during the Attitude Era. Case in point, he defeated Dan Severn at UFC 6, although, he did lose the rematch in a split decision at UFC 9. A grappler, Shamrock was able to finish people with a variety of chokes, hooks and bars. His punching power also proved capable in a few of his UFC matches. Could any of the WWF wrestlers have contended with that variety of attack? No. Built like a beast in his Attitude Era prime, Shamrock had the tough guy persona, and had the tough guy credentials to back himself up. He was a real fighter and his reputation at the time propelled him to being one of the Attitude Era's bigger stars.
