Vader's notoriety for toughness is legendary in the pro wrestling business. This is a guy who once had his eye pop out in a match, so he just popped it back in and got on with things like nothing was up. He's also the guy who ended up in a Kuwaiti jail, after manhandling a Kuwait reporter who questioned if wrestling was real. The tough guy act was backed up by genuine fighting ability. He had a background in football and was physically tough. He's even explored MMA options in recent years... despite being sixty years old, he's currently linked with fighting for an unnamed MMA promotion this year! In terms of reputation in the nineties, he's right up there as one of WWF's toughest, but was woefully booked into oblivion by Vince McMahon.
