11 Most Brutal Acts Of Revenge In MMA History
8. Quinton Jackson's Rampaging Revenge
While some of the battles and realisations of revenge featured here are confined purely to the UFC, there are some of those acts of revenge that have carried over to the UFC from Pride. And one such rivalry was the one between Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva.
The ominously-named Axe Murderer destroyed Jackson in their previous two Pride fights, most famously brutally finishing his opponent at 2004’s Pride 28 show with vicious knee after vicious knee.
Four years later, Rampage would finally get some semblance of revenge on Silva when the pair met for a third time at UFC 92. Just three minutes into the first round of that contest, Quinton Jackson would get his long-sought W over Wanderlei Silva – and what a win it was, with a left hook leaving Silva out cold on the mat.
More recently, the pair fought again at last year's Bellator 206 show - Rampage getting a second-round TKO win to level their rivalry at 2-2.
