11 Most Important Wrestlers Of The Ruthless Aggression Era
3. Shawn Michaels
While Shawn Michaels had had a great run in the mid-'90s, it was during the Ruthless Aggression Era that he proved that he belonged at the top of the Greatest of All Time list.
Returning at SummerSlam 2002 to have a one-off with Triple H, HBK seemed to have never missed a beat and made a full-time return at the end of the year. On his return, he won the World Heavyweight Championship, proving that he was still capable.
After he lost the belt back to Triple H, Shawn would never capture a major World Championship again, proving that he was beyond the prestigious title.
Michaels would focus most of his career on getting younger talent over and went on to have fantastic feuds with the likes of Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, and Kurt Angle. Not only that, but The Heartbreak Kid was involved in the greatest feud of the Ruthless Aggression Era against his former best friend, Triple H.
Had Shawn not returned in 2002, he would have no doubt been remembered as a great wrestleR. However, by returning when he did, and assisting the company in making new stars, Michaels proved he was the greatest of all time.
