Before we go to the number one spot, let's have a quick look at a few things that just missed out on making this list. They're still used far too often in WWE, but aren't quite as noticeable as the others, or have become accepted.

The Flying Nothing sees one wrestler jumping off the top ropes for the sake of being high in the air. They either have no attack but get their jolly jump countered anyway, or they perform a mix of a clothesline and aerial ax-handle which looks like it has no impact but sends a group of adversaries flying when it lands.

Chop Battles occur when one combatant wants to prove he can take whatever the other can dish out. Allowing and even encouraging the other to hit him, he takes a chop to the chest then gives back as much as he's taken. Like the 10-Count Punch sequence, this has been so overused that it's seen as a staple of wrestling.

The first time you see a Hurricanrana, it looks amazing. Like the Canadian Destroyer, its physics destroy kayfabe, especially when smaller guys use it on larger ones, but that wouldn't matter if it was used sparingly. But with half the roster pulling this out of their bag, you see it almost every show and sometimes multiple times a match.

And now, on to the most overused move in all of WWE, and possibly wrestling as a whole...

After hearing that you are what you eat, Mik took a good hard look at his diet and realised he might just be a szechuan spare rib alongside prawn fried rice.
