With Charlie having returned to the ring for the first time in nearly a year at EVE 146: Wrestle Queendom VIII over the weekend, Will Ospreay seems keen for the former Dakota Kai to join him in AEW.

At Wrestle Queendom VIII this past Sunday, Charlie came up short against Kris Statlander for the EVE International Title, which was the New Zealander's first match since the March 27th 2025 episode of WWE Main Event, where she picked up a win over Ivy Nile.

Charlie's run as Dakota Kai came to an end in May of last year, when she was part of WWE's post-WrestleMania 41 round of releases alongside the likes of Shayna Baszler and Braun Strowman. She'd returned to the company at SummerSlam 2022, after previously leaving WWE earlier that year due to creative unhappiness, with her first run with the marker leader dating back to 2015.

The all-female Pro Wrestling: EVE has been in existence since 2010, with Wrestle Queendom VIII marking one of the promotion's biggest ever shows, main evented by Session Moth Martina defeating Rhio for the EVE Championship. Taking place from Indigo at the O2 in London, the show featured a wide array of UK and international stars, from the likes of Alex Windsor, Hollie Barlow, and Lana Austin to Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, and Syuri.

As for Will Ospreay, the Aerial Assassin has been a producer and part of the creative team for EVE since last April.
