11 Newsworthy Moments From Chris Jericho's Cruise (And What They Mean For Wrestling In 2019)
3. ALL IN 2 Coming In 2019?
With The Elite shooting down rumors of a WWE run, that opens the door for the possibility of the rumored second ALL IN event. The first show which took place 1 September was a monumental success and proved a historic step in solidifying the growing independent wrestling scene.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Cody and the Young Bucks have previously discussed holding not one but two events in 2019. The first sequel event could be as early as May's Memorial Day, while another show may be held in early September around the time of Labor Day. Furthermore, with The Elite's free agency coming in January, speculation has led some to believe that a second ALL IN may forgo the aid of Ring of Honor or its parent company Sinclair -- who were instrumental in helping with the first's logistics.
If The Elite can repeat or even expand upon the success of ALL IN come May, they will find themselves in uncharted waters as not just the hottest group in wrestling but also as viable promoters as opposed to one-hit wonders. Perhaps they can even use another marquee show to launch a full-time promotion of their own.
