It’s hard to picture it, but way back in 1999, Edge was still considered a tag team wrestler, and his singles success was modest at best.

But on the night before a PPV title shot at Fully Loaded, Edge defeated Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Championship in his hometown of Toronto. The Rated-R Superstar would lose his newly won IC title the following night back to Jarrett, but the hometown fans got one hell of a thrill.

Edge would go on to capture tag title gold with Christian seven times before breaking out as a singles star, eventually retiring as World Heavyweight Champion and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.
