11 NXT Call-Ups Who Are No Longer With WWE
1. Neville
On the subject of NXT Arrival, the same show that featured Emma vs. Paige was capped off by Neville winning the NXT Championship from Bo Dallas in a Ladder match and essentially becoming the new face of the black-and-gold brand in the process.
In the remainder of 2014, he successfully defended his title against all comers and had an overall outstanding reign as champion. He finally bowed out of NXT in early 2015 ahead of his main roster debut on that year's post-WrestleMania edition of Raw.
Neville impressed whenever he was given a chance to shine, but he was never the recipient of a long-term push in WWE, likely due to his small stature. While it was a bummer when he got hurt in March 2016 and had to miss WrestleMania 32, the time away ended up being the best thing for him.
The Man That Gravity Forgot was placed in the Cruiserweight division upon his return. Although some would see that as a demotion (and in a way, it was), he made the most of the opportunity by turning heel and giving fans a reason to watch 205 Live.
After dominating the division as WWE Cruiserweight champion for the better part of 2017, he dropped the strap to Enzo Amore and walked out of Raw two weeks later. He probably realized the company was never going to push him beyond a certain level, prompting him to take his talents elsewhere.
Their loss.
