11 NXT Call-Ups Who Are No Longer With WWE

Surprisingly enough, of everyone featured on this list, Enzo Amore and Big Cass arguably arrived on WWE's main roster with the most amount of fanfare. Fans were already familiar with them from their time in NXT, where they were staples of the tag team division for several years.

Enzo and Cass started out as no-namers in NXT but eventually attained super stardom through their charisma and ability to electrify an audience with their mic skills. Before they could win the NXT Tag Team Championship, the duo was called up to Raw one night removed from WrestleMania 32 and received a raucous reaction from the crowd.

Slowly but surely, however, they started to lose momentum. The more they were booked to look like losers, the more fans lost faith in them. They seemed destined to capture the Raw Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 33, but even that moment was stolen from them by The Hardy Boyz.

The Realest Guys in the Room broke up soon after, allowing Enzo to find some success on his own in the Cruiserweight division. He made for a better heel than most probably expected, but his matches were still below-average and he proved to be more of a hindrance for 205 Live than a help.

Within a matter of days in January 2018, he was accused of sexual assault, suspended by WWE, and almost immediately released. 205 Live benefited big time from his departure.
