11 Reasons WWE WrestleMania 32 Is Cursed

1. It Should Have Been A PPV

The biggest curse on WrestleMania 32 is that it is only $9.99. WWE backed themselves into a corner with this one. An event like this should have been pay per view, at the seventy dollar mark, a point at which it could have easily done a 1.5 million buyrate. Look at the recent UFC shows with Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey, PPV is still red hot for genuine megashows. You also have to think about boxing, Mayweather Pacquiao did 4.6 million buys. Granted, WrestleMania would have got nowhere near that, but it could have certainly garnered a UFC number along the same lines of a McGregor / Rousey show. Instead it will do around 1.5 million Network viewers at $9.99, with perhaps a few hundred thousand traditional PPV buys. If WWE had been more strategic, they would have either established a separate price point for Mania on the Network, or would have kept it as the one show that stayed as a PPV. By lumping it in with all the B Shows at less than ten dollars, they've devalued it significantly.
