With Rock out of the equation, WWE decided they'd pull the trigger on Seth Rollins versus Triple H for WrestleMania 32. Originally, it had looked more like a match for SummerSlam 2016, a classic story of apprentice turning babyface on his evil master. But with Rock gone, WWE started planting the seeds in September, with Rollins and Hunter experiencing increasing friction. No doubt about it, the slow build would have matured into a captivating narrative. As for the bout, it had "match of the year" written all over it, one of the best ever against the best now. But then the WrestleMania 32 curse hit again, with Rollins suffering a devastating knee injury in November. With a sideline time of around nine months, he won't even feature on the Mania card. Make no mistake about it, next year's big event is seriously damaged by losing the best wrestler in the world.
