11 Solutions To Fix WWE's Failing Divas Revolution

5. Forget The Divas Concept

This solution is unlikely to ever get passed with Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn in charge, but someone should really make the case to them... forget the "Divas" term and concept. It is an outdated name, having been in use for over a decade. "Divas" brings up images of people like Stacy Keibler or Torrie Wilson fighting with pillows. Over on NXT, it is the "women's championship" and that contextual difference really does mean a lot to perceptions. But WWE's problem is they have the Total Divas franchise to think about. It is why they'll continue to push the likes of The Bella Twins hard. Fair enough, that show is important to the company. But come up with a compromise, have that world, but then have the women's wrestling world. If WWE are serious about women athletes, then they should promote the likes of Charlotte and Sasha with those words. Don't call them divas.
