Hardcore fans of TV shows like to point out the shared universes of their shows. For example, Boy Meets World, Full House and Family Matters all exist within the same universe, as Steve Urkel exists in all three. Law and Order and Homicide shared characters as well, but those shows still kept their narrative within the human realm. Wrestling doesn’t appear to give a damn about that.

We’ve seen Robocop, The A-Team and Shaft all get involved in WCW and WWE, but a fun (read: not fun) fact is that the non-human Muppets share the same universe as WWE.

The lovable felt puppets came to Raw in 2011 to host the show for the night. A bunch of wacky hijinks went down backstage, and no one seemed to notice there was a person underneath each Muppet, so yes, they were real to the wrestlers. Beaker even got involved in a match and helped Santino beat Jack Swagger, which has to be in Swagger's bottom...50 moments.

Trying to think this through within the context of the narrative means that either Swagger agreed to go along with a fake match for some reason, or that Muppets are real. And if they are real...then why doesn’t Sweetums challenge The Undertaker or Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship? We've seen that Muppets can’t be killed!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
