11 Things That Must Happen At WWE Hell In A Cell 2017

1. Kevin Owens Must, Must, Must Win

There is absolutely no need for Shane McMahon to pin another active professional wrestler for the rest of his WWE career. Shane-O Mac can be used in these showcase environments, allowing younger superstars the opportunity to work with the McMahon family in a more intimate story. Kevin Owens should come out of this feud looking like a top star, not a loser.

The match can be a back and forth, sure. Both Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon will go through hell, but it must be KO that comes out on top at the end. The additional and entirely superfluous Falls Count Anywhere stipulation seems to hint at a pinfall outside the ring, but that should not come to pass - KO must pin Shane in the centre of the ring.

Owens can then move on to a major WWE Championship feud with Shinsuke Nakamura, possibly winning the title ahead of WrestleMania season. WWE has a huge main event heel on their hands in the shape of KO, and feeding the former WWE Universal Champion to Shane McMahon will do irreparable damage to the company and the man from Quebec.

On paper, WWE Hell in a Cell is not the most inspiring show the company has promoted this year. It could end up being a surprising and important event though, and WWE only needs to make a few moves to make SmackDown a must-see television show as we head into the final quarter of 2017.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
