11 Things That Must Happen At WWE Hell In A Cell 2017

2. Shane McMahon Must Not Fall Off The Cell

From almost the very beginning of his in-ring career, Shane McMahon’s role has been to climb up structures and fall from extreme heights. Shane shocked the world (mostly) and bucked that trend by having the match of the night at this year’s WrestleMania with AJ Styles, but I’m fairly sure AJ could wrestle a used teabag (or Baron Corbin) and get a good match out of it.

Shane is back in his element at Hell in a Cell, facing Kevin Owens in what has become an extremely heated rivalry. Shane falling from the top of the cell has been mentioned over and over again, and it almost seems like a foregone conclusion that Shane-O Mac is going to meet a dramatic demise on Sunday evening.

Whilst promising things and failing to deliver is generally frowned upon in the entertainment world, that is exactly what WWE must do here. Having Kevin Owens throw Shane McMahon from the top of the cell achieves very little, other than putting further stress on the ageing body of Vince McMahon’s eldest child.

I would almost say that Shane should throw Kevin Owens off the cell in order to sate the bloodthirsty WWE Universe, but sanity must prevail. In 2017, no one should be falling from the top of Hell in a Cell.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
