11 Things That Must Happen At WWE Hell In A Cell 2017

6. A Carmella Cash-In

Where is WWE going with Carmella and the Money in the Bank briefcase? A lot of the initial momentum that the Princess of Staten Island gained by winning the case (twice) has been lost. Carmella hasn’t progressed at all recently, other than deciding to keep James Ellsworth on a leash. That is a visual that fans will struggle to forget.

At Hell in a Cell, Natalya and Charlotte Flair will do battle over the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Charlotte winning the blue title has been something of an inevitability ever since she moved to the brand, but will it happen on Sunday night? I think so. Natalya feels like a transitional champion, and that transition may well be made before the week is over.

WWE has a history of widdling on the celebratory chips of emotional new champions however, and Carmella cashing in following Charlotte’s victory would do just that. Charlotte is doing a great job as a babyface, and her chasing the title is going to be more entertaining than her simply holding it.

A good old-fashioned Money in the Bank cash-in is the way forward with the white briefcase - Sunday is the right time and place for it to happen.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
