Chris asks her what her ring name was prior to joining WWE and she responds that it was Rebecca Knox. He asks her how she got the name Becky Lynch and she said she really wanted to be able to keep her name, pointing out that her real name is Rebecca. She had spent twenty-something years of making puns out of her name and she didn't want all that to go to waste. When it came to the last name, they were looking for Irish names, and the gym she was training in before she got her tryout was called "Raw" and it was owned by a man with the last name of Lynch, so she thought that was a good omen. Another name that she had thought about was Robin Dailey, because she liked the double meaning of the name, citing such phrases as "I'm robbing daily", I'll beat you daily" and "the Dailey news."
