Fandango wasn’t the only one on the lookout for a five-finger food discount. During the podcast, Jericho also spilled the beans on how he got in on the free-food act during his younger days, whilst working at a pizza place down the road from his house.

Said pizza place had a policy whereby any order that wasn’t collected within the hour was fair game for the staff to help themselves to. So, ever the consummate worker, Jericho would take advantage of that rule by phoning up about 20 minutes ahead of his shift—under a made-up guise, of course—and ordering his favourite pizza, before heading into work to play dumb and reap the rewards.

Aliases that Jericho used included the totally believable George Johnsonby, which is pretty much on a par with Jimmin Marvinluder—toughest guy in the West of Winnipeg and winner of the 2008 Shot Put.

I wonder if the pizza place happened to be based in Appleton…
