11 Things We Learned From CM Punk's Latest Oral Sessions Appearance

5. CM Punk's Last WWE Match Was Miro's First WWE Match

In a weird moment of coincidence, CM Punk's final WWE appearance just so happened to be Miro's main roster WWE debut.

That match was the 2014 Royal Rumble contest, where the Straight-Edge Superstar was eliminated by Kane before shortly exiting the company. For Miro, he made his first main roster appearance in that same bout, working under his Alexander Rusev guise.

On wanting to make sure that the Bulgarian Brute had chance to shine in this debut outing, Punk explained:

"Miro's a different dude. He beat me up in my last match, at the Royal Rumble. That's when he debuted, that was his debut. I remember grabbing him and being like, 'Alright, look man, you're debuting, what do you want to do?' He was like, 'I dunno, I'll get you in the corner and I'll beat you up', and I was like, 'I'm the biggest name in that ring. You've got to hit me with some big stuff'. He was like, 'Oh, really?' 'Yeah, have your moment. Please, get your moment'. He started and I left, and now we're both gone somewhere new. He's like a different guy."

At present, Miro is of course the current AEW TNT Champion. Him and CM Punk clashing somewhere down the line seems like a no-brainer - it seems more a case of 'when' rather than 'if'.
