11 Things We Learned From Legends With JBL With Booker T (Part 1)
3. Kane And Cole
Of course, when Booker and Stevie Ray first came into WCW it wasn't under those names. At first they were 'Kane and Cole' and WCW put them in shackles, chains and prison-like uniforms.
Was WCW out of touch? According to Booker, they very much were. It was a 'good old boys' mentality but it was a foot in the door for the brothers who felt as though they had to do what they had to do, regardless of the negative overtones. Booker always felt like the cream would eventually rise to the top and the gimmick and names didn't last long.
It's amazing to see just a bit of this old footage, since it's pretty hard to come by. Shame on the WCW creative staff for coming up with this harebrained idea in the first place, mind. Col. Rob Parker as their manager, really? What were they thinking?
