NXT TakeOver: The End... saw the surprising return to WWE TV of none other than WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering, legendary manager of the Road Warriors (or Legion of Doom to WWF fans). Ellering didn't come alone either, and seemingly established himself as the brains behind the brawn of yet another dominating tag team.

As American Alpha collected themselves in the ring following their title loss, Gable and Jordan were ambushed by the Authors of Pain, although the team went unnamed by the announcers at the time. Sunny Dhisna and Gzim Selmani made their NXT live event debut back in April of this year, although it is unclear whether they will wrestle under those names going forward. My guess is not.

Obviously the relationship between these two chaps and Ellering, as well as the reasoning behind attacking American Alpha, is unclear. Still, we can be sure to hear more from Ellering & Co in the very near future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
